Shanghai
Brilliant Books is the successor of Shanghai
Pictorial Publishing House, which was founded
in 1985. Since Shanghai Pictorial Publishing
House was changed into Shanghai Brilliant Books
in November 2006 at the consent of its supervising
administration, it has undergone some adjustments
in its scope of publication.
In
recent years, Shanghai Brilliant Books has produced
an increasing number of publications in popular
stories, literature, calligraphy, visual art
and professional pictorials. It also publishes
monthly magazines like Shanghai Pictorial, Auto
Times, Charity Matters, Century Expo, Shanghai
Fine Arts and Shanghai Photography, and a series
of illustrated calendars and posters that occupy
a large market share. The publications of Shanghai
Brilliant Books boast strength in four categories:
